I reluctantly attended Pat’s retreat in the spring of 2016. I had recently started a new job that was not going as well as I had anticipated, and really came to the retreat just to get away from the business of my job. I felt like a failure in my career and was looking for a way to gracefully leave a much sought after position. The weekend was more than a getaway retreat for me. It was a turning point in my life, my career, and my personal perspective on living a fulfilling life. I started the retreat doubtful that I would stay in my job. By the end of the retreat I felt hopeful that things would change in my life and career. I can say now, almost a year later that the retreat set my mind, my spirit and my body on a whole new trajectory. As my engagement of life changed, things around me changed. Today I am loving my job, being celebrated on my job, and making a positive difference in the lives around me. I am so thankful that I experienced all that the retreat offered. It was restful, challenging, confronting, and restoring. I am grateful to Pat for encouraging me to press my way there and to give myself to the process. Today I am in a good place emotionally, spiritually and physically and I am learning to live life to the fullest – in my Sweet Spot.
